Originally located in Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, AM&G’s founder Gilbert Rivera started the company in 1980 with his two brothers William and Mike. With just some roofing equipment and a single truck, the brothers built AM&G into a company with a broad range of services and a staff of 320 employees.
Until his untimely death in 2007, Gilbert Rivera made it the goal of AM&G to provide a level of craftsmanship that sets it apart from other contracting firms. The team of professionals who built the company along with Gilbert continues to oversee all aspects of the company’s operation today. AM&G is proud of its tradition of hands-on management. Currently, under the leadership of William Rivera, AM&G’s emphasis on quality and customer satisfaction remains a core part of the company’s values.
In 2006, under the guidance of the AMG’s founders, the company built new headquarters on Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn. The headquarters includes a large warehouse, parking facilities, and 45,000 sq. foot of offices together with a retail store for the Rivera brothers’ other company, Park Avenue Building and Roofing Supplies.
